Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.

When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.

Apollo Creed is a very handsome long-haired, two year old GSD who was surrendered along with his father by his former owner who moved and was unable to properly care for them any longer. He gets along great with other dogs but really loves being with his people. He's protective and because of his large size, we feel he'd do best in a home without small children. He's house trained, rides well in the car and enjoys toys and playing ball. Apollo will need an adopter who is active and can provide a good dose of daily exercise. He also doesn't care for being left for long periods of time, so someone who works close to home and can check in on him at lunchtime would be great. Because of his protectiveness, Apollo needs someone to help him work on his people skills. So far, Apollo is doing good in Doggie Day Care.
