Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.

When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.

Vivara, or Viva for short, is a pretty, four year old GSD who was transferred from a shelter where she was surrendered by a rancher who claimed to have found her as a stray. The rancher had Viva for six months and he kept her outside the entire time but then became frustrated when she wandered off his unfenced property, so he decided to surrender her. Viva is now living in a foster home with three adults and three canine buddies and she's enjoying being part of a pack, eating regular meals and sleeping on a soft dog bed each night. She is a gentle, sweet soul who is shy when you first meet her, but once she gains your trust, she becomes your shadow. We will post more as we get to know her.
