When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.

Jala is a young female Belgian Malinoise mix. She has been a delight in her foster home keeping the her older golden foster brothers active. She's a little tentative on initial introductions, but as soon as the sniffing and tail wagging greetings are over, she's all about being best friends. She loves to be chased and initiates play with other dogs, even ones that are much bigger than her. Jala is feisty in her play, but understands what a "play timeout" is so the older dogs can take a break.

She has great house manners and hasn't chewed on anything in appropriate yet, and is also housetrained. Jala knows basic obedience such as "sit" and "lay down." She also takes correction very well and listens immediately. While her foster mom eats, she lays down underneath her feet not begging or asking for food. She likes to pull on her leash while walking, which is normal for younger dogs, so will need some training with that. She also rides well in the car.

Jala likes to grab stuffed animals and race around the yard, throwing them up into the air. She also found the toy basket right away and likes to take toys out and run around with them. She shares toys nicely with others and is more than happy to share. Her water loving foster brothers showed her the kiddie pool and she loves to run in, throw a bunch of water around, and then jump out and run around.

She can be a cuddler when she's not wrestling with other dogs or running around and enjoys belly rubs. She takes treats gently with the other dogs around, but prefers to go off on her own to eat them slowly. Jala also loves to cuddle with her foster brothers and lays right beside them when napping. She's a youngster, so requires daily exercise to burn some energy, but overall Jala is a very well behaved girl and is looking for someone to love and shower her with much deserved attention.
