Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.

When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.

Honna is a beautiful 7 month old Belgian Malinois puppy who was chained in a common area of an apartment complex where she was attacked by a stray dog. She broke loose while trying to escape the dog and the owner then decided to surrender her. Shelter staff reported that she tested really well with both people and dogs. We have learned that she is not entirely comfortable around small kids, so an active family with Malinois experience and kids over ten yrs old would be best. She enjoys canine companionship and is very affectionate to the members of her pack.
