Hi, my name is Sampson, and I'm a handsome GSD/possibly Norwegian Elkhound mix with an estimated DOB of 9/11/20 who was transferred from a shelter where I was surrendered because I was "snacking" on the resident chickens and stalking the goats and other livestock. My owner was worried that if I escaped her property and bothered other livestock on nearby ranches, I might get shot. The volunteer who picked me up describes me as a happy, friendly boy who loves human attention. A volunteer took me for a walk, and as we were leaving the kennel, I greeted a small dog playfully through the fence. The volunteer walking me discovered that I do need to learn some leash manners because I tend to be under foot often unless I see something that I'd like to chase, like a cat. As expected, I have a high curiosity with nearby sheep and goats as well. I absolutely LOVE human attention and I'm a big cuddle bug.
