Hi, my name is Jess, and I'm a handsome almost nine year old, large GSD, who is being returned to FRGSR because my senior owner is struggling to manage me on walks (I pull when I see other dogs). I had been living with a small dog and I've done fine. I'm an affectionate boy, but I need a strong handler. More info to come after I settle in. Update: I am now living in a foster home with another GSD and our mom takes us on daily long walks or hikes. I'm overweight and I'm not moving fast at this point, but I am steady and I thoroughly enjoy being outside in nature with my foster family! I have a strong prey drive, and I'm a big boy, so my foster mom is using a prong collar to teach me not to pull when I see little critters that I'd like to have for a snack! My mom says I'm smart, alert and I listen well. I'm a gentle soul who loves human attention. Many people pass by senior dogs favoring puppies instead, but I've got all the puppy behavior out of my system - house training, chewing, etc. I'm a calm, loyal boy who's looking for my forever person to come along.
