Hi, my name is Paper Chase, or Chase for short, and I'm a really handsome two year old GSD who tragically lost my family in a car crash recently. I lived with my owner's sister for a month before she asked FRGSR if they could help find me a new home because they aren't currently in a position to take on a dog. Since coming to FRGSR, I've been temporarily living in a boarding kennel, because several fosters are vacationing for spring break. I've been receiving lots of attention from the kennel staff and FRGSR volunteers. While at my "aunt's" house, I lived with two young children and I did well. I have not lived with cats. I seem to be dog friendly, but more assessments need to be done. I do need some leash work, because I pull a lot. The rescue will gather more information about me as I settle in. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org and submit an online application. My adoption fee is $400. Update: I am now living in a foster home with a female GSD and we're getting along great! My foster mom spends a lot of time with us; walks 1-2 times a day, hikes 3-4 times a week, and she's working on my leash manners (I walk best with a prong collar). I've been meeting the neighbors who include people, horses, chickens, cows and lambs! I'm a nice, compact size for a male, weighing 64.6 lbs on April 19th. I do need to gain some weight after the turmoil in my life, and I will probably top out at 70-72lbs. I'm a quick learner, energetic, playful and a cuddler. I'm crate-trained, housebroken and use a dog door.
