Hi, my name is Nathaniel, and I'm a handsome four year old GSD who was found as a stray and then transferred from a shelter that was tight on space. The shelter staff described me as a sweet boy, but the shelter setting was really overwhelming for me. I would gently take treats from the staff while looking at them with my big brown eyes. I'm currently living in a foster home where it's much more relaxing and I am allowing my personality to come out. My foster mom describes me as fairly dominant, I'm tolerant of other dogs who are leashed and I do okay with cats as long as I'm closely supervised. My foster mom recently tried me out at doggy daycare and I did just fine with the female dogs, but not the males. I walk well on a leash and I'm learning some commands. She's taken me to coffee shops where I can sit with her outside and I've done fine around other leashed dogs. My foster canine sister is a very submissive dog, and if I was allowed to do whatever I wanted, I would steal her food and toys. I can resource guard, so it's best for me to eat alone. I do respond well to correction/redirection. I'm like a typical teenager who'll do as much as I'm allowed to get away with. I'm looking for an adopter who will provide me with leadership, boundaries and exercise. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org. My adoption fee is $400.
