Hi, my name is Indie, and I'm a handsome approximately eleven month old male GSD who was transferred to FRGSR from a shelter where I was struggling. Shelters are noisy places with lots going on and it was causing me a lot of stress. Since arriving at FRGSR, I've been living in a foster home with an adult and two other GSDs. We had a few squabbles during my first few days, but since then, I've calmed down and my foster canine siblings are now my buddies. My foster dad has said that I have some fear issues and although I'm house trained, I've needed work on basic house manners (counter surfing, chewing, etc).  I can be an attention hog and my foster dad has made me sit while he pets my foster brother and sister, so I'm learning there's enough love to go around. I was thin when I arrived and I'm slowly learning that each meal I eat will not be my last one. If I'm not supervised, I will try to eat the other dogs' food, so supervision is important. I do have a strong prey drive, so a home without small dogs or cats may be best. I will need a strong leader without a heavy hand who'll continue to work with me on my obedience, house manners and socialization with both people and other dogs.
