Hi, my name is Rapunzel, and I'm a beautiful three year old, long-haired GSD who was transferred from a shelter where I arrived as a stray and amazingly, nobody came to claim me. The euthanasia clock was ticking and I was running out of time, but FRGSR saved me! I've been settling in at a foster home that I share with two other dogs and I'm doing great! My foster mom describes me as a sweet and affectionate girl who's thin and always looking for food, which is not unusual for dogs who've had to search for food on their own. I do like to counter surf, and this is an area where I'll need continued work so that I can relax knowing that another meal will come. I'm house trained and I will sit on command. I do need leash work because I pull hard when I see a bunny or squirrel, and my foster family is helping me to learn to heel using proper tools. Since I do seem to have a high prey drive, a home without cats may be best. I'm not a big fan of going in a crate to sleep, but once I'm in there, I do settle down.  I'm currently undergoing treatment for Ehrlichia, and I will be rechecked once the treatment is finished, hopefully in one month.  I will need an adopter who will commit to working with me on basic obedience and providing me with daily exercise.
