Hi, my name is Chief, and I'm a super handsome 3.5yr old GSD who was transferred from a shelter that was tight on space. My former owner got me with the intent of breeding me, then he changed his mind and dumped me. The shelter staff reported that I was good around other dogs, but I did get reactive around unaltered males. I'm currently settling in at a foster home that I share with a Boston Terrier and two GSDs, and so far, I've done really well. I'm house trained and I know some basic commands. I love toys and I especially like to play fetch. I did curl my lip a little when one of the other dogs got a little too close while I had a toy in my mouth, but my mom corrected me. My mom noticed that I like to sing sad songs while I'm crated, so future adopters will need to take note. Some areas that mom has discovered where I need work are for me to stop jumping on people when I get excited and I also need a little bit of leash work (pulling). No info on cats. I'd love to find someone who enjoys outdoor adventures and they'd like a handsome canine buddy to tag along. Is that you? Update: My foster mom has discovered that I'm really focused on toys and I can be a bit possessive of them, so if I'm adopted to a home with another dog, hopefully it'll be with a dog who doesn't have much interest in toys.
