Hi, my name is Cudi (pronounced "Cuddy"), and I'm a handsome 2yr old male GSD who was reluctantly surrendered to FRGSR by my former owners when their landlord didn't allow dogs. They reported that I am great with both large and small dogs, but I've not had experience with cats. They also said I can be hesitant with strangers until I get to know them, and then I'm fine. Like all GSDs, I will need an adopter who will make the commitment of time, energy and resources to help me to become the very best dog I can be. My adoption fee is $350. My foster dad, who is very adventurous, has taken me on some high country hikes and I'm having the time of my life! I'm also really into tracking and I'm hoping to find an adopter who will provide me with these types of adventures as well! Update: I've been adopted and returned twice after I became overly protective of one member of the family which caused me to become reactive to others inside the home and while on walks. Neither foster parent prior or after my adoptions have experienced this issue.  I've been evaluated by a dog trainer at a large park who found me to be a friendly boy with both dogs and strangers, but I need someone who has the leadership skills so that I won't feel the need to step into that role. The rescue also feels that I would benefit from having a canine companion. I've lived with both large and small dogs and I've done fine around all dogs that I've met.
