Hi, my name is Hurricane Emery, and I'm a happy, playful one year old GSD mix who was originally transferred to FRGSR from a shelter that was in the path of Hurricane Ida, and the staff was concerned for my safety. I was adopted out in 2021 to a family who was excited to have a new puppy. Then, life brought changes, including an increase in my former owner's work schedule, so I was spending almost all day in a crate.  As you might guess, I was extremely bored and frustrated. My owner thought I'd do better elsewhere, so she surrendered me. I'm a really good boy who loves people, dogs and I've even done well with cats! The rescue has noticed that my obedience training has lapsed since being adopted, so I'll need some work on leash walking and not jumping on people. I'm a dog who's done great at doggy daycare as well as dog parks. I have an adventurous spirit and I'd love to find someone who will make a commitment to me to not give up on me when life throws them curve balls.
