If you have any questions about Amy, please contact A Friend of Jack Rescue at info@friendofjackrescue.com. Amy is an absolute sweetheart. She has playful puppy energy and would love a semi-active household. When Amy came to us, she had severe pain in her hip. We took her to a specialist where it was deemed that she needed to have her hip joint removed. She had surgery and is almost fully healed. She will never be a hiking or running dog, but she does enjoy long walks! She loves cuddling with her humans but is also very interested in chasing squirrels and rabbits. She will love you forever if you let her cuddle with you on the couch or bed, but also understands boundaries if you tell her lay on her own bed next to you. She can sit, leave it, and come. Still learning stay since she always just wants to be by your side. We think Amy would do best as an only dog or with a more submissive dog and no small animals. She is fully house trained and can be trusted home alone without a crate for about 4 hours at a time. She is super smart, food driven, and would make an excellent companion!!
