Hi, my name is Nero, and I'm a really happy, handsome five year old GSD who was transferred from a shelter that was tight on space. When I arrived, I was in severe pain from what was believed to be an ACL tear. After being examined by an orthopedic vet, it was discovered that I had a chronic femoral neck fracture in my left hip joint, and I needed to have my hip joint removed. I have undergone FHO surgery for this, and I'm resting comfortably now. I'm currently living in a foster home and my foster mom thinks I'm just awesome! I'm house trained, crate trained and I love everybody I meet! I enjoy car rides and learning new things all the time! I'll need an adopter who will be willing to continue with my aftercare, which consists of short, leashed walks for several weeks so that my leg can heal properly.
