Hi, my name is Nova and I'm a beautiful almost two year old GSD who was transferred from a shelter where I was surrendered by my former family because their child developed allergies to me. Being left behind was really hard on me and I shut down for a bit until I was able to connect with some shelter workers. My interactions with other dogs have been a work in progress. Initially, I was scared of them and would bark and lunge, but the behaviorists worked with me and I did make some progress before being transferred to FRGSR. I was recently moved into foster care where I'm settling in. My foster mom describes me as very sweet with people and she will do slow, controlled introductions with other dogs so that I can learn that they won't hurt me. I would love to find a home with a patient, GSD-experienced person who will take me on lots of adventures. I may be able to  live with a calm confident canine companion.
