When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.

Hi, my name is Oh So Texas or Oso for short, and I’m an adorable four year old smaller GSD (60 lbs) who was transferred from a shelter where I was surrendered for unknown reasons. The shelter was terrifying for me so they asked FRGSR if they would help me. When I arrived in CO, I was was so depressed and afraid that I wouldn’t lift my head to look at anyone. Besides this, the shelter discovered that I am heartworm positive, so they started treatment right away. The rescue will pay for the treatment through completion, and I will need to be on HWP for the rest of my life. I’ve been living in a foster home and my foster mom is happy to sing my praises!  I’ve learned to trust again, I love playing with other dogs and I even do well with cats! Because my doggy buddies have offered me so much comfort, the rescue feels I would do best in a home with a canine companion. You can see from my pictures that I’m now a very happy boy!
