Hi, my name is Trex, and I'm a handsome 10 month old GSD who was transferred from a shelter where I arrived after being "clipped by a car" by a woman who was dozing off on her way to work. Thankfully, she stopped to help me and took me to a shelter where I could receive the necessary care that I needed. I had a small wound on my front paw that has since healed, but I've been favoring my right leg off and on, so FRGSR took me to an orthopedic vet who hopes to have me good as new soon. Following this, I'll need an adopter who can restrict me to leash walking until I fully recover. I'm a happy, friendly boy who loves people and dogs. I was recently moved to foster care and the resident dogs are teaching me boundaries in my play sessions so that I won't pounce on them. I'm really intelligent and I learn very quickly. My foster mom says I'm house trained, crate traine, I know some basic commands and I sleep quietly on a dog bed at night.  My days are busy and sometimes when I sit down to chew on a bone, I just doze off until another adventure pops up. Given that I was found as a stray, my adopter will need to commit to the work involved in continuing to help me to learn basic obedience and manners (not jumping on people or counter surfing). The volunteers have noticed that I can be somewhat mouthy, so I'll need a home with kids who are older than ten years.
