Hi, my name is Dakar and I'm a really handsome 1 yr old long haired GSD who was found as a stray and the person who found me was hoping to keep me, but I wasn't getting along with her other dog, so she had to surrender me to a shelter. I have a lot of puppy energy and I love to get out for play sessions with the FRGSR volunteers. Potential adopters need to get beyond my stunning appearance and realize that I will need someone who's had experience with GSDs who've been pushy and dominant. I may very well end up doing best as an only dog in a home with someone who can meet my mental and physical stimulation needs. I will need obedience training, boundaries and lots of exercise.
