When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.

Hi, my name is Jaeger and I'm a beautiful five year old female GSD who was transferred from a shelter where I was returned three times - once because of the owner's health issues, the second time was because I was jealous of the other dog and cat in the house, so I  growled at them when my owners petted them, and the third time because my owners said I was too protective to live in an apartment complex. Kids running around just being kids makes me nervous and I have been reactive in those situations. My third owner took me to the dog park where I enjoyed playing with other dogs. I also was leaking urine, so I was put on medication for this and I'll need to take it for the rest of my life. In addition, when I arrived at the shelter, I had a nasty ear infection, but both ears were thoroughly cleaned and I received medication which helped to clear things up. The volunteers have noticed that I need some leash work and I'm a really strong dog who is able to easily pull some folks around. I weigh 99 pounds, and I could stand to drop a few pounds, but this will come with daily exercise sessions and some measured food intake. I will need an adopter who understands how to be my leader so I won't feel the need to take over this responsibility. More info to come.
