Hi, my name is Eevee, and I'm a two year old black GSD with a splash of white on my chest and two of my back feet. I was transferred to FRGSR from a high kill shelter with the hope that I could find a loving home. I am a high energy, happy girl who needs work on my obedience because I don't know what I haven't been taught. I will need a good dose of daily exercise. With a little work I could be your hiking buddy. I would do best in a home without cats. Update: I've been living in a foster home for about a month and my foster mom has been working hard on my obedience. She says I'm doing well with basic commands, but I do get distracted when other dogs are around and I can get overstimulated and barky, so my foster mom takes me to a spot where she can regain my attention and get me calmed down. My adopter will need to work with me on leash in an area where a few dogs walk by rather than taking me to a park where lots of dogs are present. I have a lot of energy and I will need a home with a very active person who will agree to provide me with 45 minutes to an hour of exercise while continuing to work with me on my training and obedience. Having a canine companion may help me to burn some calories.  Once I've been socialized well with other dogs, I might be able to enjoy a day or two per week in doggy daycare in the future.
