Hi, my name is Peaches and I am a beautiful GSD who is approximately 2.5 yrs old and I came from a deplorable setting where I lived in filth with several other dogs. I'm smaller in size which may have resulted from us being fed just once a week. One day, one of the dogs broke through a window and escaped along with several other dogs, and this was a turning point which led to all of us being rescued. Because of my limited exposure to people, I get spooked easily when they are around. I would likely do best in a quiet home with a confident handler who won't baby me because of my past. I have left that life behind, and I want to build my confidence so my fearfulness will hopefully decrease with patience and time. I would love to have a playful, confident, male canine companion too, if possible. My adoption fee is $350. Update: I am learning to trust people, but I can be barky with people I don't know. Once you earn my trust, I'm a total cuddle bug. I love to play with my foster canine siblings and I'm learning some basic commands. Because of my background, progress comes in small steps, but in the short time that I've been in rescue, I've made HUGE progress! Update: I've been in foster care for over a month now and I'm house trained, crate trained and I just love to play with my foster canine brother. I walk nicely on leash, but I still get a bit spooked by cars. I'm very affectionate with my foster mom, but I'm still somewhat scared of my foster dad even though he's been very gentle with me. I will take treats from him, but I'm afraid of allowing him to pet me.
