Timber is a mid-sized 1 1/2 yr old long haired sable male. We are helping his owner find him a home as he can no longer care for him. Timber is very high energy and protective and while he likes some other dogs, he doesn't like them all and needs to be carefully and slowly introduced to them. This brazen boy once took on a coyote and is still around to tell his story. He has started his basic obedience and is doing well, but like most GSDs, he will need training on a continuous basis. He will need a firm, but loving owner, who understands dominant tendencies. Timber needs plenty of space to run and an owner dedicated to exercising his high energy as well as his mind. He likes to play fetch and swim in the lake. If you are willing to take on a dog with brains, looks and excess energy, this might be the dog for you. Timber may not be well suited to first time GSD adopters. Adoption fee is $350.
