Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.

When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.

Nella is a pretty, two year old GSD who was surrendered to a local shelter because she and her canine companion escaped the yard. According to former owner/shelter reports, Nella loves everyone and everything, including children. She is housetrained, crate trained and knows some basic commands, including sit, come, stay, no and treat. She loves car rides, going for walks and chewing on dog toys. As expected, she has been overwhelmed by all the recent changes in her life, which has caused her to take a step backwards regarding her trust of strangers, but our volunteers have found that with a slow, gentle approach, Nella does fine. She has lots of energy and would do well with someone who would commit to providing her with a good dose of daily exercise. We will post more as we get to know her.
