Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.

When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.

Annabelle is a scared 16 mo old who arrived at a shelter as a stray and then she was transferred to FRGSR. She does warm up slowly. Although she has been thoroughly overwhelmed with all the recent changes in her life, she has made HUGE progress while in our care. She has been socialized with other dogs and she does well. She is still wary of strangers initially and tends to relax sooner with women than men. She will need a forever home with a handler who will allow her the time she needs to come out of her shell. A quiet household would likely be best for this sweet girl. Annabelle's foster mom says........... she  knows sit, walks on leash pretty well, is crate trained (takes about 5 minutes to settle), loves to play with anything!! other dogs, people! she does get into things, so she needs watching,  but when you say no, she stops and walks away. when she picks up something she shouldn't if you call her to you she will let you take it from her! She is potty trained, but does get up in the middle of the night to go out and wakes up really early (just need to change that habit :))   She is a bit mouthy, has gotten better with this too, can be a jumper when she is excited to see you,like after letting her out of her crate.  She is a lover, but she will let out a very big bark to alert her foster parents that someone is outside.  She loves food, that is the way to her heart the fastest. She was recently introduced to dog parks and she's been having a blast running and playing with other dogs!
