Hi, my name is Soda, and I'm a beautiful 2 yr old GSD who was transferred to FRGSR from a shelter where my former owner left me because I kept jumping the 4' fence. I've been overwhelmed with all of the new people in my life and sometimes, I can get snappy when I'm really afraid. The volunteers with FRGSR have taken things slowly with me and I've warmed up to several of them nicely. I was recently moved into a foster home that I share with 3 other dogs and I'm doing great! I'm having lots of fun running and playing with my GSD foster brother, and my foster mom has noticed that I'm not appearing to want to jump the fence in her yard.  According to my prior owner, I lived peacefully with other dogs and I ignored the cat. I tend to  get spooked fairly easily but I'm enjoying the company of both my foster mom and dad. I'm learning about car rides and it takes a bit of coaxing to get me loaded, but once I'm there, I ride just fine. Because of my fear issues, the rescue is recommending a fairly quiet home with a playful canine and without young kids. More info to come. Update: My foster mom has worked with me on car issues and now I'm no longer afraid to hop right in! I've been to several events meeting lots of people I don't know and I'm doing really well with this!
